Smashed Film Festival
The Smashed Project challenged Year 9, 10 & 11 students on the North West Coast of Tasmania to tackle the issue of youth binge drinking through the creative medium of filmmaking. The project was designed to be a culturally desirable and generation?relevant education strategy to engage young people in the issue and support them to make a positive contribution to the community discussion. The project culminated in the Smashed Film Festival which screened to the local community, providing a platform for the students to showcase their work and express their concerns and attitudes toward binge drinking.
